Playwriting: Intermediate Part Two

These workshops are intended for anyone looking to sharpen his or her playwriting skills in a workshop setting. Participants are encouraged to explore their writing through ten-minute plays, one-acts or full-length plays. These workshops will fall under various topics to focus our attention in more advanced topics. Some titles for these workshops include "After the First Draft," "Craft in Art," "Structure," and "Finding the Story."Our meetings will include discussions of playwriting elements and writing exercises, both provided in the context of works in progress brought to the workshop. However the focus of the workshops will be on reading and responding to each other’s work using feed back strategies outlined in the workshop. It is assumed those taking these workshops will have taken at least an introductory workshop in playwriting or will have had some experience writing plays.
