Playwriting: Intermediate Part One

These workshops explore tactics and strategies in writing longer works, putting scenes together and telling a longer story than the typical ten-minute play. We will use exercises to jump-start the imagination, consider various approaches to the writing process, and apply a feedback method designed to facilitate continued discovery through writing. In addition, we will look at a published play or two as we begin to consider some of the structural implications in writing for the stage. By workshop end, the goal is to empower writers with sufficient understanding of their process so as to be able to continue forward completing a first draft.
