Applying Craft in the Art of Playwriting

This workshop is intended for those writers who want to either explore a rough draft of a play (in process or completed), or would simply like to sharpen his or her playwriting skills in a workshop setting. We will look at various elements of craft in the context of works-in-progress brought into the workshop, use prompted exercises to generate materials and revisions, and explore structural considerations that go into writing longer pieces. We will also read one or two published plays as a group. Writers who have not taken prior playwriting workshops are welcome to attend, but are encouraged to take the one-session Dialogue workshop, or one or more of the other one-session workshops.
